Meet The Team

The Arundell family now boasts over 30 team members, from vets and nurses to receptionists and stock managers, all of whom are passionate about caring for the pets and people of Doncaster.

  • Christina Groves - AVC (Web)

    Christina

    Clinical Director

    BVetMed CertAVP(SAM) MRCVS

    Christina grew up in East Yorkshire and graduated as a vet from the Royal Veterinary College in 2013. She started her career at a small animal hospital in County Durham where she became a Clinical Director in 2016 and completed a certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2018. After having two children, Christina and her husband (Arundell vet, Lloyd!) relocated back to Yorkshire to be closer to family and she became a Clinical Directaor at Arundell in January 2023. Christina still loves doing clinical work alongside her clinical director role and she has a particular interest in all types of medical cases. Outside of work Christina is kept very busy with two young children and a rescue Patterdale Terrier

     

  • Claire Coppin - AVC (Web)

    Practice Manager

    Claire qualified in 1991 as a human nurse but left the profession when she started a family. In 2010, she joined brother Stephen and sister-in-law Natalie at Arundell. Claire spent three years as an animal nursing assistant, gaining good knowledge of the industry, before returning to receptionist work after missing human contact! She has three very different cats and two grown-up children, who all keep her busy!

    Head Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Kerry graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in July 2017, gaining a foundation degree in veterinary nursing, after which she joined Arundell. Shortly after, she became a clinical coach. Kerry’s main interests of nursing include anaesthesia analgesia and pain management, in which she has gained her advanced veterinary nurse status in 2022.

     

  • Angela

    Angela

    Customer Care Manager

    Angela has worked at Arundell since 2016, after previously working in healthcare for 16 years. She holds a level two NVQ business and administration certificate which she completed in 2016. She is currently working towards becoming a registered veterinary receptionist. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family, including dogs Bella, Hope, Cybil and Goose, a tortoise called Betty, and lots of fish.

  • Rhiannon

    Rhiannon

    Veterinary Surgeon

    BVSc MRCVS

    Rhiannon graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2009 and joined the practice in May 2018. She recently returned from maternity leave following the birth of her daughter, and is enjoying the challenge of combining vetting with parenting. Her interests include dermatology and feline medicine, and outside of work she enjoys walking, cycling and cuddling her cat, Jeremy.

    Alvaro has been working for Arundell since October 2022. After graduating from Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain, in 2020, then moved to the UK. He is really interested in small animal dentistry and ophtalmology. In his free time he likes going for a swim, diving and traveling.

    Skylar graduated from the University of Bristol in 2023. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary work, from surgery to medicine.  When she is not at work she can be found hiking, painting or immersed in a good book

  • Maddie Ryan - AVC (Web)

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Maddie joined the team in September 2024 after working in a small animal hospital in Leeds. Maddie graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2019, and her main interest is in surgical cases although she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. Maddie is also an OV (official veterinarian) so can complete the necessary forms to enable you to take your pet out of the UK.  Outside of work, Maddie enjoys walking her two sausage dogs Sebastien and Hilda and traveling when time allows.

  • Esperanza Reyes - AVC (Web)

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Espe graduated from the University of Cordoba in Spain in 2022 and she particularly enjoys surgery and diagnostic imaging.  Espe is very keen to develop her knowledge and would be interested in taking part in a Wildlife Conservation project in the future.  If you can’t find her, Espe will probably be scuba diving in an exotic destination!

    Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Nic gained her Veterinary Nursing Diploma through the College of Animal Welfare in 2018. She has a keen interest in hospitalised patients and pain management. She has a rescue dog called Cece. Outside of work she likes to spend time with her family, friends and little girl, who is a bundle of fun.

    Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Kay started at Arundell in 2013 and is the senior nurse based at our Toll Bar site.
    Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, running, hiking and getting into a good book or box set.
    She has a cat called Stanley, who she rescued from Arundells after he was brought in as an injured stray, and a tortoise called Norman.

    Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Sue has been working in the veterinary industry for over 30 years and became a qualified veterinary nurse in 2014. She has a keen interest in nutrition and weight clinics and holds a certificate in canine and feline veterinary health nutrition. She has one rescue dog and three rescue cats. Her spare time is spent with her husband and two grown-up children enjoying family time.

    Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Claire has worked at Arundell’s since 2018 as an animal nursing assistant, caring for patients as they recover from surgery and also some work on reception. She graduated from the University of Leeds in 2016 with a BSc in zoology and has had various jobs since, including as a zookeeper. At home she has an 8-month-old tabby called Roland, and is a leader with the Girl Guides.

    Rosie graduated from Middlesex University in 2021 with a BSc Hons in veterinary nursing. She has a keen interest in clinical nutrition and weight management, as well as nursing consultations. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, and chilling out with her two Miniature Schnauzers Lottie and Libby.

    Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Rebecca graduated from Middlesex University in July 2021 with a Bachelor of Science with Honours Degree in Veterinary Nursing. She has an interest for anaesthesia and small furries, particularly guinea pigs and rabbits. Out of work she enjoys spending time with her own small furries, her small hoard of beautiful Guinea Pigs, and her family.

     

  • Caitlín Ashmore - AVC (Web)

    Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Caitlin joined Arundell after gaining her animal nursing assistant certificate from Askham Bryan College in 2017. She had wanted to become a veterinary nurse from an early age and was able to start her diploma with us in 2021 and became an RVN at the beginning of 2024. Her miniature schnauzer Percy and black cat Pluto keep her very busy otuside of work!

    Gabrielle started working at Arundell in 2017 as a receptionist, progressed to an animal nursing assistant and then onto a student veterinary nurse course, which she started in 2019. Outside of work she spends a lot of studying for her nursing course, and spends time with family and friends socialising.

    Joe has worked at Arundell’s since 2021. He graduated from the University of Hull in 2017 with a BSc in Zoology and has worked as a Veterinary Technician at the University of Science and Technology in Hong Kong. Joe is currently studying to be a veterinary nurse here at Arundell

     

  • Nikki Archer - AVC (Web)

    Student Veterinary Nurse

    Nikki joined Arundell in 2020 where she started as a receptionist and then in 2021 started her course to become a qualified Animal Nursing Assistant. She qualified to be an ANA in 2023. Outside of work she enjoys riding her motorcycle with her husband. She also has six ferrets and two cats. One thing about Nikki is DON’T USE HER MUG!

    Lisa has been with Arundell since 2019 and qualified as an ANA in 2023.  She has a love and passion for horses, which she has worked with for years.  She also has a keen interest in canine behaviour, having four dogs herself.  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, and reading.

    Animal Nursing Assistant

    Jill started working for Arundells in May 2021 as a receptionist and then went on to become an Animal Nursing Assistant in October 2022. She rescued her dog Winston in March 2022 from Arundells. Outside of work she enjoys playing field hockey, taking her dog for walks and spending time with family and friends.

    Jade joined Arundell Vets in 2022 with an ambition to provide excellent care and compassion to the Doncaster community and their pets.  Jade started as a receptionist but aspired to be part of the clinical team and joined our nursing team as an ANA in 2024.  Outside of work, she is kept busy by her two dogs Bernie (a Sprocker) and Sansa (a Husky) but still managed to squeeze in a game of Pokemon on the Nintendo Switch

    Toni has worked as a receptionist at Arundell since 2015. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her three children, family and friends, including two dogs, two tortoises and two fish.

    Customer Care Advisor

    Charlotte has worked in the veterinary profession since 2012, and joined Arundell four years later, during which time she has completed a level 2 grooming course. She has four dogs, a horse and has adopted three birds! They keep her very busy. She enjoys going to the zoo, walking and spending time with family and friends.

    Customer Care Advisor

    Carole has been working at Arundell since 2013, as a receptionist. At home, she has three dogs and a bearded dragon. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, socialising and talking – a lot!

    Customer Care Advisor

    Lauren joined the Arundell family in July 2021 and soon after she took over running our social media pages. Lauren hopes one day she can get into the clinical side of veterinary practice, starting with being an ANA. She has a degree in photography which is what she loves to do as a hobby. She also enjoys spending time at home with her partner and her two bunnies Binky and Hiccup and new puppy Daphne.

    Naomi joined Arundell’s in 2022 just after completing a Bsc in Health sciences. Outside of work she enjoys being down the yard with the horses or out on walks with her cheeky Chihuahua Minnie.
